Method

  1. Preheat the grill.
  2. Toast the bread in a toaster
  3. Cover the bread slices with half of cheese and add a layer of ham to each.
  4. Add a pear to each ham slice and cover with the rest of the cheese.
  5. Grill until bubbling and season to taste.

Serving suggestions

Serve on its own or with some salad.

Variations

Use a good ordinary shaped bread if you do not have any plaited
