Drumliesh cheese
Drumliesh was produced on the Isle of Bute. It was a three month old mild cheese with a buttery flavour, uneven texture and piquant taste. The manufacturing creamery ceased production in 2010, although the production of Drumliesh stopped in the early nineties.
John Miller, site manager of the original creamery with the responsibility of manufacturing this cheese and the Isle of Bute cheese is hoping to start a venture manufacturing both of these cheeses on the isle of Bute. Once I have more information on this, I will update this page.
