Further information

Cantábria is an autonomous region in northern Spain and only has one province which is called also called Cantábria. Its gastronomy is centred around fish as it is on the coast of the Bay of Biscay. However, due to its lush mountain terrain, it produces some excellent meat and game. It is one of the few parts of Spain that produces beef and cows' milk cheeses.
