Alderwood cheese
Alderwood cheese was produced in Dorset by 'Cranborne Chase Cheese.
It has a semi-hard washed rind which is orangey-brown in colour but the actual cheese itself is a light yellow.
Alderwood is made from unpasteurised cows' milk and has a sweet taste when it has been matured for 6 weeks, but the taste becomes stronger, creamier and fruitier the longer it is left to mature.
Vegetarian rennet goes into the making of this cheese.
