I have often been put off recipes calling for a whole leg of lamb because the cost of fresh lamb could be prohibitive.

Defrosted overnight - who can tell it was ever frozen!

I think it was while we were looking at frozen turkeys around Christmas time that I noticed what good value the frozen lamb was - almost half the price of the fresh product. £6.00 per kilogram (Morrisons - March 2013)

Most of the recipes on Cookipedia that call for a whole leg of lamb can easily be adjusted for half a leg. So next time, don't be put off, try half a leg of frozen lamb, just remember to buy it 24 hours in advance.

Not very appetising now, it will be look great in 24 hours
