St Kenelm is a hard, crumbly cows' milk cheese with a slightly sharp but creamy flavour. It is usually matured from 2-6 months, and it develops a richer tang as it matures. It is a beautiful cheese, but it is almost as hard as Parmesan to grate!
It is produced by Gorsehill Abbey Cheese of Broadway in Worcestershire and they have a list of retail outlets.
Cheeseworks of Cheltenham and Paxton & Whitfield of Bourton-on-the-Water both offer a mail-order service for the cheese.
