Smoked Hootenanny is produced by Bob Parmley, Alan Mandle and Maurice Walton of Appleby Creamery Ltd in Appleby in Westmorland. It is a delicately smoked version of Hootenanny and is a semi-hard, pasteurised, goats' milk cheese using milk from the north Lake District and vegetarian rennet.

The cheese won a Silver at the Nantwich International Cheese Awards in 2010.

The cheese can be obtained online from Winter Tarn Cheese or from regional suppliers.
