Tefal Airfryer clicks and paddle does not turn

I've notice a problem with my Tefal Actifry Air Fryer that happens intermittently. While food is cooking, the air fryer constantly clicks, about once a second and the paddle does not turn.

It's a clutch-cum-failsafe method to ensure the motor does not burn out if the paddle is not able to turn. It seems that when the unit gets very hot and there is not much oil in the cooker, the rubber gasket at the base of the paddle remains very dry and makes the paddle very stiff to turn.

Solved!

A really simple solution that has not failed yet is to smear a tiny drop of cooking oil onto the rubber gasket every time you use the air fryer.
