Priego de Córdoba

DOP Priego de Córdoba is a Spanish extra-olive oil produced in Priego de Córdoba, Almedinilla, Carcabuey and Fuente-Tojar in the province of Córdoba. The oils are known for their fruity aroma which is sweet and slightly spicy and bitter. Their colours are varying shades of yellow, depending on the village in which the oils are produced.
Like Queso de Valdeón, research by the University of León has shown the presence of an anticarcinogenic which helps to prevent cancer.
Priego de Córdoba can be ordered on line in 500 ml tins from Bellota
