Another experiment using the East at Home Curry Gravy sachets.
They are a really high quality base gravy for curries and only require minimum additional spices to make a great curry.
This was really good, not too spicy and rather fruity; odd as there was nothing added to give a fruity flavour other than the bell peppers and seet paprika!
Ingredients

- 2 medium onions, peeled and chopped
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- A large pinch of freshly ground black pepper
- 2 very small courgettes, sliced
- 3 fat cloves of garlic, peeled and sliced
- 12 meatballs
- 1 sachet of East at Home Base Curry Gravy
- A pinch of salt
- 1 level tablespoons of sweet paprika
- 1 level tablespoons of Tex Mex Glaze Dry Rub
- 1 level tablespoons of Taste Sensation Piri Piri seasoning
- ! heaped tablespoon of Taste Sensation Mixed Sweet Red and Green Bell Pepper Granules
Method
- Pour the olive oil into a large pan and sprinkle over the black pepper
- Add the chopped onions and stir fry for 5 minutes until lightly browned
- Drop in the courgettes and garlic slices and gently fry for 5 minutes
- Add the meatballs and sprinkle them with the sweet paprika powder
- Seal the meatballs and then add the base curry gravy
- Finally mix in the salt and all the remaining spices
- Simmer for 15 minutes, then serve
Serving suggestions
This was nice with broccoli and wild rice

I originally halved the meatballs for this experiment, but next time would leave them whole.
