Slight contradiction in text here I think:

Para 1 says baking is not possible

Para 2 states cakes can be made

Long time since I had one of these, but I seem to recall the latter is true, although the results are in no way comparable with oven-cooked products.

Do you want me to amend accordingly. depending on what your opinion/experience is?

I have no experience (or ownership) of a slow cooked, however, as it's basically a 20 watt bulb in a biscuit-tin then I image some cakes (stodgy affairs) could be made, but "not as we know them", Jim.
