Stewed apples mixed with cream.
Half of it with added green colouring.

Method

  1. Bake or stew the apples
  2. Heat the butter in a pan, add the sugar and apple pulp, stew on a low heat until the apples are soft and mushy (20 minutes)
  3. Pass the pulp through a fine sieve, discarding any pips
  4. Stir in the cream
  5. Allow to cool
