Method

  1. Mix all of the ingredients above with ½ of the water, carefully adding more water as the onions and potatoes will add more moisture to the batter. It should be thick so can be shaped by a tablespoon and hold it's shape
  2. rest the mixture for 1 hour if possible
  3. Heat the oil as you would for deep-frying chips
  4. Shape with a tablespoon and deep fry for a few minutes until golden.
  5. Drain on kitchen paper and serve

Serving Suggestions

Serve hot with mint and onion raita
