Mochi cakes dusted with kinako

Kinako, also known as soybean flour, is a product commonly used in Japanese cuisine. In order to create the soybean flour, soybeans are toasted and ground into powder. Its flavour is commonly compared to that of peanut butter.

Kinako, being comprised of soybeans, is a healthy topping and flavouring which contains B vitamins and protein. It can also be used as a drink; for example, warabi mochi is a famous kinako-covered sweet.

Pets names

Kinako is a popular name for pets, probably due to the pet's similarity in colour to kinako, but that's only my assumption, not based on any fact. --Chef 17:07, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
