Not at all! I bought a molecular gastronomy kit to do some of the basic stuff (spherification, emulsification etc) all of which can be done without expensive equipment. I don't have the money for an anti-griddle (more expensive than a Thermomix), but it costs nothing to write about it. The whole thing just interests me, so thought I would do some experiments when I have time. Couldn't visit Apples today as he was having various scans this afternoon, so thought I would start to add something to CP to keep me sane! --JuliaBalbilla (talk) 17:32, 8 April 2014 (BST)
