Russell's Butchers of Upwell, Norfolk
A local family butchers that's been running for five generations. I can personally vouch for the quality of their meat - we shop there weekly and for us they are very local - I can see the shop across the fields from my office window, and if I have the window open I can hear their heifers mooing!
They prepare all of their meats from their local farms and and sell from the shop and run stall at many local markets, including Downham Market, Wisbech & March.
My personal favourite is their Treacly bacon!
Recent Move
Russell's Butchers recently moved their retail premises from 97 School Road, Upwell to 48 Town Street which used to be Tweeds' butchers. The new premises are much larger and allow for more stock to be displayed and as a result they seem to be much busier, but still able to give a fine service.
