Ingredients

Create a printable shopping list for this recipe's recipeIngredient

Method

  1. Peel and cut the onion and chop it in the bowl 6 seconds / Speed 6.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients in the order given.
  3. Blend the mixture 5 seconds / Speed 6 or until it has achieved the desired consistency.

Serving suggestions

It is very suitable for meat, fish or any other dish. In some countries this is a very common sauce.

Variations

To vary the flavours omit the paprika and add chopped parsley, finely chopped red pepper, garlic, etc.

Peeling ginger

There is no need to peel ginger. As a result of attending a Thai cookery demo, we have learnt that peeling ginger is unnecessary unless for aesthetic purposes as the skin is high in fibre and full of flavour. However, do remove any bits that have become tough or woody.
