Lock&Lock boxes are plastic food storage containers which are 100% airtight. Produced in South Korea, they are exported to 54 countries around the world and come in numerous sizes ranging from 100 ml to 12 litres. As well as the standard type of box, Lock&Lock also produce them with handles, which are ideal for picnics or children's packed lunches. There are also divider boxes, which contain two or more compartments if you want to keep some foods separate from each other. In addition, jugs are available which will easily fit into your fridge door and keep fruit juice much fresher than it would be in an opened carton or bottle.

The lids have 4 durable hinges and the boxes are stackable so that you can save space. They are so secure that if you fill a box with liquid and turn it upside down, there will be no leakage. The boxes can be used in the fridge, freezer and dishwasher. They can also suitable (with the lid open) for reheating food in the microwave.

I am a great admirer of Lock&Lock boxes and am gradually replacing my storage jars with them. The small boxes are excellent for keeping spices fresher.

Mix your marinade the easy way

Using a Lock&Lock box is the easy way to marinade food. Just place the marinade and the food in a Lock&Lock box, close the lid and shake well. It's then ready to use or refrigerate and if you need to mix it again, just shake the box!
