* ½ lb gram flour (Chana flour - made from ground lentils)
* 2 medium onions, sliced finely (top to bottom) or chopped in a food processor
* ½" fresh Ginger, grated
* 3 tablespoons of freshly chopped Coriander leaves
* 1 Fresh green chili, de-seeded and chopped
* 1 large potato, sliced finely with a mandolin or a food processor
* ½ teaspoon of freshly ground Cumin powder
* ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
* ¼ teaspoon Chili powder
* ½ teaspoon of baking powder
* ¼ teaspoon of salt
* Juice from ½ a lemon
* ½ cup of water
* Oil to deep-fry
===Method===
* Mix all of the ingredients above with ½ of the water, carefully adding more water as the onions and potatoes will add more moisture to the batter. It should be thick so can be shaped by a tablespoon and hold it's shape
* rest the mixture for 1 hour if possible
* Heat the oil as you would for Deep-frying chips
* Shape with a tablespoon and deep fry for a few minutes until golden.
* Drain on kitchen paper and serve
